Celebrate Food Revolution Day 2013 with Jamie Oliver and friends in London today. Food Revolution Day on May 17th is about championing cooking and passing on skills leading to better lives, and Jamie is spending it outside his London Fifteenrestaurant in Westland Place at his street party. Jamie is hosting cooking demos alongside Gennaro Contaldo, Jun Tanaka, The Boys from SORTED, DJ BBQ and Arthur Potts Dawson.
Food to be provided by Jamie’s Italian, as well as his Barbecoaand Union Jacks restaurants. Try flatbreads straight out of one of his wood-fired ovens or a Mark Hix fishdog or maybe a Wright Brothers Oyster; all this and loads more.
Jamie said: “It’s going to be a great party so come down and join in the fun and get stuck into passing on the message that cooking and kitchen skills really can make the world a healthier place for our children. We’ll have loads of fun and some pretty amazing food as well. See you there!”
The Street Party is free to attend and runs from midday today until 10pm, closest tube is Old Street station (take Exit 1).
